Talking to the media after attending a function at Naushehra on Sunday, the parliamentary leader of ANP in National Assembly said their leadership while attributing the Afghan war to the battle of Russia and United States 40 years back had warned that it was not Jehad rather a curse, but unfortunately they were labelled as infidels and traitors. However, today the whole world is accepting their narrative.
The former KP chief minister said sans peace in Afghanistan, no peace is possible in Pakistan, saying the peace of both countries is linked with each other. He said that a lot of blood of Pakhtuns on both side of the border had shed now this process should stop.
He stressed on the participation of real party, the Afghan government and other representative forces of Afghanistan, in the negotiation process and said instead of becoming party, the United States should play the role of mediator. He reiterated that the negotiation process will prove totally useless without the participation of Afghan government.
To a question, he said war is no solution to any problem and called for the ending curfew in Indian Occupied Kashmir to grant the right of self-determination to Kashmiris.
To another question about anti-govt long march, he said a state lacks justice system and instead of political contacts and the adoption of political vendetta was the helm of affairs, no option left other than taking street.
He said their protest will be democratic and peaceful, saying the government was democratically elected rather was imposed on the people. He said that the people of all sections of life are fed up of the policies of the imposed and puppet government.
He said economic situation is the matter of concern wherein deprived class is in search of two time bread while businessmen preferring to shift their investment abroad.
Furthermore, he said the media, a crucial pillar of the state is not independent and its liberty has been usurped that never happens in democracy. He said the preparation of reference against Chief Election Commissioner is part of the series of reference against Justice Faez Esa. He said that those believing in the supremacy of law have no place in the country, saying the government is creating problem for itself and it does not need any enemy from outside.
